Jan 22, 2026 – The European fashion textile bag market is witnessing strong growth, with consumers prioritizing minimalist designs, durable fabrics, and eco-friendly credentials, according to data from the European Fashion and Textile Association (EFTA). In 2025, the segment grew 10.3% year-on-year, with sales reaching EUR 1.5 billion.
Scandinavian brands are leading the trend: Swedish brand Acne Studios launched a line of linen-cotton blend tote bags in neutral tones, while Danish brand Ganni introduced upcycled denim textile crossbody bags. Fast-fashion retailers are also joining the shift—Zara’s 2026 spring collection includes 30+ textile bag styles made from recycled materials, with pre-orders exceeding 100,000 units.
Germany and France are the top two markets, accounting for 45% of European fashion textile bag sales. Analysts expect the segment to grow at a CAGR of 6.2% through 2030, as sustainability and minimalism remain core consumer trends.
